What Does It Mean to Be an IPSF Athlete?

Being an IPSF athlete means much more than simply competing in an event—it means becoming part of an international sporting system.

Within the IPSF, every routine is evaluated according to a unified set of rules and standards. The same judging criteria and technical requirements apply in every member country, meaning that the performance you present at home would be evaluated in exactly the same way at any IPSF competition around the world.

As an IPSF athlete, you:

  • Train and compete under internationally recognized IPSF rules and regulations.

  • Are judged by officially certified international judges.

  • Receive results that are recognized and comparable on an international level.

  • Have the opportunity to qualify for the IPSF World Championships.

The Hungarian Pole and Aerial Sports Federation (HPASF) is the exclusive representative of the International Pole & Aerial Sports Federation (IPSF) in Hungary.

Following the values and vision of the IPSF, our mission is to promote and develop pole sports and aerial sports, while supporting their recognition and growth as competitive disciplines.

"Sport is not only about individual achievements and personal success, but also about the power of unity and team spirit—forces that move us forward together."

About Us

Hungarian Pole and Aerial Sports Federation – The Official Hungarian Representative of the IPSF

The Hungarian Pole and Aerial Sports Federation (HPASF) is the official national federation responsible for the development and promotion of pole sports and aerial sports in Hungary, as well as for representing the International Pole & Aerial Sports Federation (IPSF) at the national level.

The HPASF is the exclusive Hungarian member and partner of the International Pole & Aerial Sports Federation (IPSF)—the world's leading international federation for pole and aerial sports.

The predecessor of our Federation was the Hungarian Pole Sports Federation, which was the first organization to host official IPSF competitions in Hungary.

In 2023, a dedicated community of professionals and athletes committed to the development of the sport gave the organization renewed momentum and established the revitalized Hungarian Pole and Aerial Sports Federation (HPASF).

Our Mission

Our mission is to increase the recognition and awareness of pole sports and aerial sports in Hungary, promote their growth among a wider audience, and provide athletes with professional, internationally recognized competitive opportunities—from youth development programs through to elite-level competition.

What We Offer

  • Organization of official IPSF competitions in Hungary

  • Internationally qualified judging panels and an objective scoring system

  • Athlete development pathways from national-level competitions to the World Championships

  • A safe, inclusive, and ethical sporting environment

Our Vision

We believe that both pole sports and aerial sports have the potential to achieve the highest level of international sporting recognition, including the possibility of future Olympic participation.

We are committed to playing an active role in this journey by working closely with athletes, coaches, and sports organizations throughout Hungary.
